Is this Tucson?

Can you believe it? Yes, even in Tucson, we can get snow. Not as much as the mountains, but it is snow. Cold, wet, and melting fast. Once the sun breaks through, it'll be all over. These are photos taken around my house and in the school yard.

My dogs, Sam (the Bichon Friese) and Mr T (the Chihuahua) are loving it. Of course, Mr T has to have a sweater on to keep warm. Sam could use a haircut about now.

There's some cholla in the field next to my house. Interesting plant, but don't get to close to them as they are a real pain trying to remove them from your shoes, clothes, legs, hands, you get the picture.

My snapdragons are blooming but a little snow isn't going to hurt them.

The kids that arrive to school on the early bus, 6:00am, are having a great time throwing snowballs and building a snowman. Gotta have fun before the bell rings!

Great photos...I hate cholla. I especially hate pulling cholla out of the dogs' paws, because I always forgot to grab a little pliers to take along on walks for that very purpose...

Snow on cacti always looks weird.

Excellent! Snow isn't so common in Texas either, but I like to think that helps us to appreciate it more.

Your photos reminded me of the days we used to get snow. It was never very deep, but we loved it all the same. The best part was seeing how the schools would overeact. I miss those days...
